this is an interesting fight i got perez by 8-4decision i think his length & height good fundamentels would give him the edge. I think he was underrated he defended his title about 7 times beat a hell of a champion like miguel lora. He still could have achieved more in my opinion

Perez was kind of like Paulie Ayala, busy work rate, not heavy handed etc. His weakness was the strong punchers which Tapia was not. He might be the perfect foil for Tapia and his style. Hard to write off Tapia's heart and desire but Perez would be a dangerous fight stylewise.
