of course 60% were just remakes though.
I think for sure the answer can't be the 2000's or the 2010's. So many re-makes. AND sequels, third and forth and fifth installments... just too little new movies in current times.

agreed... but it is during the last decade that we have seen a great surge of quality films from other parts of the world.... the indie scene has never been so vibrant...

                The Graduate
                2001 a Space Odyssey
                Bonnie and Clyde

90's was the worst decade. Batman Forever, the shtty CGI in Jurassic parj, alot of boring pretentious films that dont hold up a decade later.

it's tough because in the 70s, 80s, & 90s there was so many good movies but today they are using to many special effects...mel gibson, davis croenenburg, david lynch, rob zombie, michael bay, francis ford coppola, stan kubrick, tony scott, clint eastwood are all such good directors. never thought i'd enjoy remakes of movies until i saw the texas chainsaw massacre remake then the prequel. even friday the 13th & the first halloween remake were pretty good then you got crap like nightmare on elmstreet & all the rest of the remakes...

                      Nice roster.

Predator, Robocop, and Die Hard are enough for me.

                      Goonies, FMJ, and Blade Runner?
