  • My British and World P4P lists

    World P4P List:

    1) Manny Pacquaio
    2) Sergio Martinez*
    3) Floyd Mayweather
    4) Juan Manuel Marquez
    5) Fernando Montiel
    6) Nonito Donaire
    7) Tim Bradley
    8) Carl Froch**
    9) Jean Pascal
    10) Lucian Bute

Could easily be there: Andre Ward, Wonjongkam, B-Hop.

    * Martinez is #2 P4P in my opinion, simply due to Mayweather's inactivity. Only fought a blown up JMM and past-prime Mosley in the last 3 years. I think Mayweather's a better fighter, but his recent record isn't as good as Sergio's.

**Carl Froch has arguably one of the best resumes over the last 3 or 4 years. He's beaten Pascal (current lineal LHW champ), Taylor, Dirrell, Abraham and I scored his bout with Kessler a draw.

    British P4P List:

    1) Carl Froch (WBC Super-Middleweight; 2 time champ)

    2) David Haye (WBA Heavyweight; Lineal champ at Cruiserweight; #2 Heavyweight)

    3) Amir Khan (WBA Light-Welterweight; #2 Light-Welterweight)

    4) Ricky Burns (WBO Super-Featherweight; #2 Super-Featherweight)

    5) Nathan Cleverley (#5 at Light-Heavyweight)

    6) Kell Brook

    7) Matthew Macklin (#6 at Middleweight)

    8) Ryan Rhodes (#4 at Light-Middleweight)

    9) Paul McCloskey (#10 at Light-Welterweight)

    10) Matthew Hatton

Could soon be there: John Murray, Chisora, Martin Murray, DeGale, Groves, Paul Smith.

Anybody agree/disagree with my lists, and why?

just edited upon further thought. dropped him down to #10. i think bute is arguably the most talented fighter at 168. he'd outbox Froch and Ward imo, but his resume isn't as good as Froch's.

they are heavyweights. Wlad is the most dominant fighter in the sport but generally heavyweights shouldn't be in the list. wlad has great skills but is vulnerable due to his chin, if we do things by 'skills' then Khan should also be in the list... lol

I think you made a mistake.

You have Tim Bradley #7, but also have him under 'could easily be there'.

Ian Napa is my favorite Brit, and one of the most skilled P4P. However, he fights at a weight that's about 10-13 lbs higher than where he should.

I won't criticize your list, it's all subjective IMO.
