And so it begins again ..... Four years of subdued fighting will now escalate to a full on assault and escalated fighting.

Seems like Israel stirs up this **** every now and then by killing Hamas whenever they feel like it.

I can't imagine anyone is hoping for an escalation of this.

But it looks like that's the direction it's heading.

This is going to escalate way beyond Israel and Palestine.On the radio it said 15 more Palestinians had been killed in air strikes.
Assad is in trouble in Syria and there has been talk about attacking Iran and both have a history of supporting Hamas. When the Israelis invaded Lebanon they came up against Russian made Syrian supplied top of the range anti tank weapons that shocked the Israelis and took a heavy toll on Israeli Merkava tanks. This thing can turn into a bigger mess very quickly.
