    • I like the idea of every American being required to have health insurance. With more people buying health insurance, the insurance companies carry a lower risk which means that premiums should lower based on the theory of economics and supply and demand. Also with everyone having insurance, more people should be getting annual checkups (preventive medicine) which should reduce exuberant hospital costs of people with late-stage diseases.

about the state lines thing, i'm not 100%, are you talking about currently or with the bill
currently... there's very little competition allowed across state lines by insurers, which keeps prices up and options low

          • ....Well, taking a poll on healthcare reform in here is a bit of a joke. 16 year old chronic masterbators don't know **** about ****. Here is a more realistic poll.

I don't expect him to do more than post a few agenda driven articles from suspect sources.

Of course, there are many reasons they're charging 10 grand a day for a hospital room, no surgery, and little to no contact with doctors or nurses.

It makes sense to do something about those costs before adding another 16 million to the medicaid meal wagon, but apparently only to me.

Yeah over half a million is a little more meaningful sample size than 32.

Lol at the "extends health care to 32 million Americans" in the poll. Yeah, by fricken forcing 16 million to by it or face severe penalties.

And Veteran, its not health care reform, its insurance reform. I have it on high authority from a liberal intelligentsia think thank where a good friend works in D.C that the goal was insurance reform from the start.

Health care reform is a misnomer.

Are Canadians forced ot buy private insurance?
This is just subsidizing insuranc while costs continue to skyrocket. This is why it's such a nightmare

Ignorant..... DO YOU REALLY THINK that the 32 million of the POOREST PEOPLE in the country are healthy? Even the ones partially insured aren't healthy. They're already poor, most don't eat properly because they barely have the money to do that. A lot will have preexisting conditions, some probably smoke, do drugs... is that low risk to you?

Meanwhile doing nothing to lower the cost of medical care.
