If Bowe had fought and beat Lennox in the pros would he have been the GOAT?

But the guy didn't really love fighting, he just happened to be good at it. What he did love was eating too much. And he was lazy and undisciplined.

If a fighter won't accept the rigors needed to be great then he never fully lives up to his potential.
The more people chase the Bowe kool aid (and I will qualify the use of that term) the more quite a bit of it can be attached to the yearnings and opinions of Eddie.

I use the term kool aid because while Bowe was talented and had potential, Eddie thought much more of him than his actual trials and tribulations showed of Bowe. Actually in one of those coincidences, Lou Duva had a similar situation with the "Foul Pole" Golota. Duva thought he had the goods! Golota was also a talent, but both guys could not keep it together. Bottom line.

Bowe showed remarkable ability against Holyfield and Golota showed remarkable ability against Bowe. Golota went forward half ****ed and got handled. Bowe was a little more circumspect, and rather than fight lewis he ditched the belts.

Many people who claim Bowe would have beat Lewis forget that Bowe had little to no self control and Lewis could exploite that weakness. Golota sure found that out!

--- Lennox already KOed Bowe once, so twice or thrice more is the short answer for goat gonads needing to know...

Didn't really KO him though did he, the fight was called off way too early and Bowe hurt Lewis earlier in the fight as much as Lewis hurt Bowe when it was called off.
        Could of gone either way.

Best answer of the thread here IMO. And an intelligent way of answering NO, he wouldn't have, nowhere near GOAT.

He is genetically potentially the GOAT? No one had better genes than Bowe for boxing did they?

              He was almost perfect.

Long reach, tall, big, heavy, smart, fast, good endurance, strong, amazing chin.

He was like Lennox Lewis with Holyfields Head transplanted on. He could have beat Lennox, Tyson and Holyfield, and perhaps anyone ever.

--- Dude, I got better genes for boxing than Big Dummy.

What, not to diminish the mentally ******ed kids I worked with, but he was mentally challenged, a face first brawler exposed before he ever won a title. Slurple the purple koolaide seems to be your only reason for the thread.

Did you ever even watch Bowe fight or are you just another ignorant Brit with an anti American agenda?

Sonny Liston has a body made for boxing.

                      Bowe was a solid fighter
He was never quite the same after the Great Trilogy with the Legendary Evander Holyfield.
Those bouts took a lot out of Big Daddy.
Riddick also suffered from some mental illness issues that sort of derailed his career.
With that said never at best would he have beaten Lennox Lewis.
His style was suited for Lewis.
                      Bowe lacked one Punch power.
Rahman & Oliver McCall and that & it finished off Lewis.
Bowe never take that fight so you can’t make him a GOAT when he had the chance to be that by defeating Lennox .
                      And that’s that
