Buying an asset, capital asset in this case, it is not an investment. Investment are securities, cash equivalents, bonds and stocks and similar commodities. Investing your money in a business, in this case fish and sea food, it is an investment. But for Floyd is not the case.

No wonder most athletes are broke when the career is over. They believe that buying expensive assets they will get the a return on the investment. Even when you buy your house it is not an investment. House values dont depreciate but impairment can occurred.
