When did humans start wasting food?

when i was still in college in the philippines, my friends would make me eat guts and heads of chickens skewered on a stick and heated via charcoal fire...

the eyes of a ****in goat is boiled then submerged in vinegar and is supposed to be eaten...

I know back in the days people use to eat every part of an animal(guts,head,eye) Now a days eating those parts is considered disgusting. I'm pretty sure in other countries these animal parts are not wasted, but in America it is.

This is not exactly true, it's part of the fetishizing of precivilized people implying that they are somehow "better" than we are. Sure people eat eyes and guts if they have no other options. It's hardly a virtue to be on the verge of starvation. Given the opportunity precivilized humans were tremendously wasteful which is how the North American megafauna were hunted to extinction.
