IMO, very far, Pascal is not as good as Bute, a win against Pascal will only prove that he can step in the ring with Bute. Bute will beat Dawson and people will forget about him. Very slim chance to be an ATG.

i like dawson but he really doesnt have anybody who can propel him to atg status.he would need a sustained title reign like roy jones jr

There is no one there to elevate him. He would have to toil for years like Hopkins did, taking whatever fights moving up or down he can to establish himself as an ATG.

Pretty damn far because it could all evaporate QUICK. Think about what Michael Nunn did from like 88-90 at Middle, the wins he had (some watchable, some not) and where he was regarded P4P. Enter James Toney, Nunn falls apart...historical footnote of a fighter when all is done.

Give these things some real time.

Make sure that your local fighter has a pair and be willing to take him on. Dawson has a better resume than Bute. Bute beat has beens and made a career of beating guys like Miranda(already beaten by pavlik, abraham), and Andrade(beaten by Kessler). The great BUte dodged the Super 6 like the plague. BTW, how slow was the count in that first andrade fight? Bute will stay in Montreal for those type of benefits.

Bute has power and is good to the body, Dawson is the complete fighter. Dawson 5 wins over Tarver, Johnson, and Adamek > BUte Career.

Dawson great defense, southpaw, wicked combinations, and throws from all angles. If Bute beats Dawson, hats off, until than please derail that hype train.

Pretty far but not really his fault. But I mean Roy Jones didn't have the best competition in the world either but he was flashy and made every fight exciting and took them out in dominate fashion where Dawson just really boxes to a decision which really does nothing for him.

He'd have to beat Hopkins, Cloud, and all the super 6 guys to even get within 50 feet IMO.

Lol, let's see how he does if they rematch. Even Mike McCallum looked bad against Kalumby
