Nelo stepped up bit time on paper

Reality is Kova had lost 3 times in his last 7 fights, twice by KO, and still was a formidable foe IMO, after all he beat Yarde and Alvarez in his last 2 fights, 2 young fighters.

So, good fight, BUT, the rehydration close is like the icing on the cake, too much.

I can't get high about this win, sorry. he beat a diminished guy, sorry.

Well, Canelo best win is by far GGG, so if GGG is not elite, I don't see how Canelo can be elite himself...
especially after escaping a clear loss in their first opus with A side treatment on the cards.

If you can get 2 close fights with a guy like Canelo, so called P4P king, being +35 years old, then you're obviously elite...

if GGG is not elite, then we only got like 5 elite fighters in the sport, then elite is like the P4P top five for you I get it...

Honnestly, any top trainer would call you a moron for labeling GGG as "not elite"

to be fair, Golovkin should probably finish his career at 160 at this point

but promising to fight " anyone from 154-168 "... then killing THREE HUGE fights over weight... and then watching Canelo... 1) beat him... 2) win a title at 168... 3) beat Kovalev... sure has highlighted the great divide between how Canelo/Golovkin went about their business

one of those guys was not as good as advertised, and one was much better than advertised

Why would GGG go the Canelo road?

He's not Mexican and a cheat.

So Nelo and Eleider Alvarez share the same best win? Great

Kova had lost 3 of his last 7 fights, he's not his best win.

GGG is better than Kovalev, and you just have to watch how they both did vs Nelo to know that.

GGG is his best win IMO, best oppo Mayweather Indeed

                  Ducked

@154- The Charlo Brothers, Demetrius Andrade, rematch with Erislandy Lara

@160- Trilogy fight with GGG, Sergei Derevyanchenko, Jermall Charlo, Demetrius Andrade, Billy Joe Saunders

@168-Callum Smith, Caleb Plant, Billy Joe Saunders

@175-Artur Bieterbev, Dimitri Bivol and Oleksandr Gvozdyk

Guy ducked all those guys throughout his career and ducked everyone of these guys from 160-175 to fight Rocky Felding and the shell of Sergei Kovalev.

There is no reason to jump up to 175 when there was a ton of great options between 160 and 168. It makes him a cherry picking *****.

You got that right. I remember all the talk from the gstrings when Canelo signed that dazn deal and how he would just fight 10 cans. Instead look its their hero that is fighting nothing but cans. And yes Dervy was a can when according to them when it Canelo that could fight him.

wow, that sure was a HUGE river of tears

it sure is funny that you are not jumping around excitedly at the thought of Golovkin defending his title against Kamil Sacramento... because you are too busy criticizing Canelo for jumping TWO divisions to fight Kovalev
