In your comments about Mayweather, you forgot to mention that, from 2002 to 2006, he fought the Ring Magazine Lightweight champion, Jose Luis Castillo twice, fought Zab Judah, who was considered number 2 at welterweight, fought Carlos Baldomir, who was considered number 1 at welterweight and also fought and destroyed Arturo Gatti. Calzaghe's entire resume didn't have as many quality fighters on it as Floyd's did during these four years.

You also failed to mention that, during those four years, Miguel Cotto, Shane Mosley, Kostya Tyszu and Ricky Hatton all turned down offers to fight Mayweather.

I don't know why, but I sometimes find the ignorance of the people on this message board to be shocking.

floyd turned down cotto dude. how many times have we gone over this? he asked for 10 million dollars which is the same amount he got vs delahoya later. zab wasn't considered number 2 after losing to a journeyman and everyone knew baldomir was a journeyman and an easy mark even though he was linear. margarito was rated number 1 for 3 years and mayweather went into witness protection mode when he was mentioned.

Ahhhmmm well let's see Cotto had his turn at JW but turned it down, said something about not being ready or w/e you can look it up somewhere. This is moot cause they eventually fought tho no? Zab was 2 or 3. Margacheato was told "later would be greater" floyd was trying to cut ties with Bob Arum at the time... But Margacheato is a bum so that's also moot now no? Let's not turn this into a mayweather thread tho.

lol not ready. i guess floyd wasn't ready when he asked for a sh-it load of cash to fight a 140 pound cotto. you can look that up if you want to see the truth.

            1. Yes he will make it in, clearly deserves it.

            2. He's Hopkins' daddy for life.

Some people can't stand it, but it's true, deal with it.
