  • [REAL TALK] Why are politics so divisive?

It's bizarre how much anger and bitterness is involved in politics. Why does the subject bring out the worst in people?

Lives and the quality of living are at stake. That's why.

Because republicans get upset when you tell them a lie and democrats get upset when you tell them the truth. Those two don't mix.

Because both parties believe in fairy tales, like the government actually being for you and the parties actually being for you.

They literally get paid to biiitch, argue and get nothing done all day. And these losers eat it up

Exactly! Political parties are no different than the bloods and crips. Ironically, both party colors are blue and red just like the street gangs. Political parties are basically organized gangs. There should only be one party in America, it should be the American Party and nothing else. The National Anthem clearly states, “united we stand divided we fall” but people still haven’t got the clue.

Why is politics divisive? Well that's the point of politics.

If you're asking why it's become more divisive (US liberal vs US conservative once referred more to the style of suit & method of shaving you preferred than to whether or not you embraced radical Bolshevism): It is normal & was long expected.

The schism has widened because the US is no longer a nationality, just an economic & geographic region containing innumerable nationalities.

When the group of ethnocultures that founded & designed the US started to tuck tail and move into rural areas/transition into a minority group, the cities became a power vacuum. Multicultural states have never been so long-term. It's a transitional stage. Until we find out what nation replaces that receding population, politic will be at maximum divisiveness.

Most Americans have more in common with online penpals in other countries from similar backgrounds than they do to their own urban next-door neighbors. Why wouldn't politic be divisive?

Read the book the Righteous Mind: Why good people argue about politics. Basically the right and left begin with different moral frameworks to begin with which are mostly based on our intuitions about things. Then the reasons we come up with for defending our beliefs are invented in order to back up our original intuitions. Both sides "know" they are right because of the way they feel lol.
