in my gym we were taught to box with music as a key, coach cranked it up and told us to feel the rhytm when shadowboxing and skipping. it worked wonders, i learned so much faster and i still feel my work is much sharper and more inspired no matter the exercise when im doing it to music.
Wow. I wouldn't come back to a gym like that, no offense. Music has no place in a gym imo.

pretty good list so far, I have a bunch of those tracks on mind for when I shadow box and run.

Jay Z has one called 'the champ is here' and it's got Ali screaming that famous line from when he was rolling up on George Foreman in Zaire to an African drum beat. Pretty damned hype if you ask me!

This is exactly how I teach and the majority of the music is rap and a lot of Motown because of the baselines...

i can train either way. music helps if it is a speaker but i cant train with earphones / ipod because i keep thinking i hear things and have to take them out, then it turn out im imagining it.... weird. i think numb/encore by jay-z is awsome.

requiem for a dream is good for warming up.

try classical during stretching that also helps to relax not just your muscles but also your mind.
