His last three moves have been genius IMO. He has been shaping this fight from the very begining.

1) His first come back fight he takes on JMM. People call him a cherry picker amongst other things. This was done for one reason to obtain better bargaining leverage at the negotiations table. He takes out JMM in pretty easy fashion thus eliminating a public demand for a PAC vs JMM III.

2) He demands RANDOM TESTING for the fight with PAC on 3/13. When PAC made it a bigger thing than originally intended he puts an * next to PACS name in many of the common fans eyes. Thus the only fighter who is possibly compared to him as the BEST OF THIS ERA in many people eyes may have cheated. Even if he didn't walking away from 40 million in comparision to just giving blood RAISED some eyebrows.

3) He keeps his demand for RANDOM TESTING and says he is going to use it in every fight going forward to "CLEAN UP BOXING" PAC announces a fight with Clottey anther TOP RANK promoted fighter for the 3/13 date. NO SUCH TESTING is required. People are leaning back towards PAC and a good fight Floyd is left in limbo with out a dance partner. (no pun intended)

4) 1/18/09 Berto with draws from match with Mosley for Jan 30th date. Now possible match up between Floyd and Mosley lands in Floyds lap. Whether it goes down on March 13th or May1st undecided. But he puts the demand out there for RANDOM DRUG TEST with an admitted ROID user. (whether he knew about it or not he did admit it sorry Shane) Floyd can ink this deal he goes one up on Manny and also eliminates another potential opponent for Manny post his 3/13 date and inches himself a little closer to cornering Manny and shifting momentum back to GBP and himself at the negotiations table.

i do not think the entire scenario was planned because if Manny say okay to the drug tests than he and Floyd are fighting on 3/13 and both making 40+ million. If Manny says okay to the testing and he is on PEDS he is forced to train and fight clean thus eliminating any extra advantage he may or may not get from using whatever substance he may or may not be using. Either way it is turning out to be a win win situation for Floyd. Because 20 years dwon the line from now when people think back to this fight and ask why it did not happen if it in fact does not happen people are going to say "BECAUSE MANNY WOULDN't TKAE A BLOOD TEST? " When the question is raised about who was the best of this ERA people are going to say yeah that MANNY WAS GREAT BUT..... So yes even if it was not planned step by step each calculated move since the first has been a terrific game of chess by Floyd and Co....Lefty

No but the fact that the EARTH QUAKE happened and a possibility of someone calling up Berto and Co and saying look there is no shame in backing out now. We understand you are going through a tough time with the issues in your homeland right now. If we make an announcement and state what is the reasons behind you backing out now you won't lose any face plus here is a little something for your troubles....ahhhh could be a possibility no fellas? Pacquiao ducked Mayweather and now boxing goes on to a great great fight between Mayweather and Mosley. Pacquiao screwed up big time. When Mayweather beats Mosley and the ppv out sells Manny's, there will be no 50/50.
