Yes, healthcare is free in Cuba. Don't believe, go there and see. That might not have the latest medicines or proper equipment due to the embargo's, but it's free nonetheless.

The easiest example of why socialism must fail is the DMV system in America. If you want that type of institution to spread to healthcare, and other forms of productions, you need mental help.

ultimately the decision lies in ones own beliefs and ethics regarding the rights of property..

if you wish to understand the sociaslist mindset fully then it would be sensible to read the Communist Manifesto by Marx and Engels and The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists by Robert Tressell which explains a way in which the economy could potentially successfully function..

until youve read those two texts youre not really qualified to comment on the issue (although reallly it ought to be balanced by some capitalist literature...though thats easy enough to encounter)

personally i believe that health, education, utilities and the postal system ought to be socialised and public transport should be privatised but subsidised by the government to ensure coverage of all areas
