Hybrid Martial Arts

HMA-Hybrid martial arts (also known as hybrid fighting systems or sometimes freestyle fighting) refer to martial arts or fighting systems that incorporate techniques and theories from several particular martial arts. While numerous martial arts borrow or adapt from other arts and to some extent could be considered hybrids, a hybrid martial art emphasizes its disparate origins.



It can takes years to master any one type of MMA style.....but you can at least master 1 or 2 moves from a perticular style quicker. So what would be some good moves to learn and what styles to borrow from to make a unique offensive style to quickly end fights? Everything is legal, street fight rules ect.

Well those flying armlocks, leglocks and chokes actually WOULD be legal in MMA, just not the bone breaking or groin shots. The wrist throws might be as well, not sure, but probably not, maybe though, since judo throws are legal. If the guy doesn't flip over, it could be used as a wristlock submission.

They have a school a few blocks from where I live...it's pretty expensive though. Mastering it would take a long time...agreed. But they also teach you the most economical (no oxymoron intended have just said how expensive it is) movements of self defense that you can use on the street...things you couldn't do in a MMA competition like eye gouging strikes for example that will quickly end a fight.
