Because they don't see him as a drug dealer or them as cops. They're looking at a different paradigm & he's their soldier no matter what.

If he raped a chicken on his porch half way through the shootout he would still be their soldier & a hero.

A war only one side has been fighting, decade after decade.

Sad part is many of these officers were probably brought up believing in that war, thought they would infiltrate the system and gain control from the inside, lift their people up...

you just need to expect to be on camera for your whole shift. and do your job, which is very easy for most of the shift; usually at least. do the job right, and professional and get paid good. yes, there will be some intolerable people at times. your job is to tolerate them though.

This has to do with a drug dealer shot cops and the community went after them. Now they're protesting to free this dude.
