The article states sub numbers havne't been released, but are expected to be at least 4M. ESPN is expected to have no more than 2M and they are the largest sports broadcaster IN THE WORLD.

So DaZone doubling ESPN is pretty significant.

Anthony Joshua has his first fight in the U.S. now. If he dominates and dominates again...it builds his U.S. profile and A.J. and Canelo are both in their primes.

Meanwhile Deyonce (PBC) has NOBODY to fight and is 34 years old. Deyonce just ducked Joshua and is literally begging Fury for a rematch to redeem himself.

Fury is with ESPN/TR, but I think PBC and TR/ESPN can do business.

Hopefully they just push PBC out. PBC so cancerous for boxing, honestly

That’s because they’re not boxing fans. And those are LDBC casuals like to listen the Oprah-boxing narratives about Hearn is a racist, GBP is a racist etc etc... that’s why they don’t support it.

      • I'm a subscriber. I admit I just got it yesterday for $99 for the Canelo fight, and i'm looking forward to watching the Joshua fights.

DAZN is kinda new, they will have a rise in subs.

Last night helped short term but probably didn't help in the long run, they need KO's, not 12 round UD's.

And of course we are gonna talk about this. They've thrown a sh^tload of money into boxing & we talk boxing sh^t here.

I just think a lot of you guys don't know the play DAZN is making. Its not so much a boxing play as a sports play. Too many cats here seem to think DAZN is only into boxing.

I'm talking good about them when I see good & I talk bad about them when I see bad like everything else here. I'm not one of these fanboy weirdo's thats always hyping this one thing or sh^tting on this other thing all the time. I like some sh^t with x thing & I dislike some sh^t with x thing all day. Kinda like everyone should be who's not in a f#cking cult or have found the perfect thing that can't be improved.
nothing is perfect pandas but st the moment DAZN are giving us the big names and the big fights at a fraction of what PPV is so that’s a good thing...it just do happens boxing is my passion and if DAZN adds to that then great whether it’s 8 years or 80 years ...enjoy the ride son

            • After Dazn got it’s reviews from this weekend, it’s safe to say they won’t be doing much in the US. Dazn sucks was #1 trending on twitter after the fight.

I’ve never seen such a flawed product

If DAZN is great for boxing at $9.99 or $19.99 a month or $99 a year, how is PBC cancerous for boxing when it is not charging you anything for fights? That logic makes no sense.

You keep failing to mention the other costs associated with DAZN. This weekend all those people that didn't have high speed internet kept having problems seeing the fight. There were people that ordered it and couldn't receive it. How is that good for the sport?

                  Showtime is free? Since when?

                  PPV free? Really??

No high speed internet in 2019? Maybe boxing shouldnt be a concern if you cant afford to stream a YouTube video or Netflix show without buffering....

You avoided answering the question. SHO is a service you buy for things other than boxing. Boxing is a bonus you don't have to pay additionally for. Fox is free, as is CBS. FS1 and Bounce are included in your regular cable service.

WHo said or implied PPV was free? Again you avoided answering the question. Many people don't have high speed internet in 2019 because internet is offered at different speeds for different prices.

It would be nice if you could answer the questions to have an actual discussion about DAZN vs PBC. The fact is the #1 trending topic this weekend was DAZN sucks because of the issues many fans experienced trying to purchase the fight.

I get that you are anti Haymon for whatever reasons but his product has never been trending so negatively.

I'm here if you wish to have answer the questions posed to you.
