No, Mayweather would not beat Conor in the cage under UFC rules unless he got very lucky. That's Conor's world and he is one of the best at it. He would have the same advantage over Mayweather in the cage that Mayweather had over him in the ring. He is an expert at cage fighting because that's what he has done for so many years just as Mayweather has boxed for so many years. Mayweather has no experience in the cage and he can't learn enough in a few months to defeat champion cage fighter Conor. Conor isn't considered a good wrestler by UFC standards but he is much better at fighting on the ground than Mayweather who has no experience at all at ground fighting. Conor has mastered blows with feet, elbows and knees while Mayweather is a great fist fighter only. Mayweather knows he can't beat Conor in the cage and would never agree to fight Conor in the cage.

He's got a punchers chance but 99 times out of 100 McGregor takes him out instantly with a kick to the leg or takedown and elbows or a choke or whatever.

But if Floyd lands a punch he could knock him out.

im just generalizing. And yeah davis was hype. Specifically the ultimate fighter where jen pulver was a coach but had lost to a guy on the team. And that guy proved not so good. But theres many of cases.

Conor hasn't mastered anything he'd get destroyed competing in any sport that he's part timing in

Floyd wouldn't even last 1 min. Shoot take down ground and pound his face in or choke out. 36 secs tops

do people forget what holly holm, a former boxing champion in multiple weight classes, did to the best female fighter in the UFC?

maybe now that floyd is beyond 40, but i wouldn't be surprised if floyd even at this age and in the octagon beats mcgregor

Floyd couldn't even knock out a totally gassed MMA fighter in his first boxing match.
If Floyd stepped in the Octagon with McGregor and only had 4 months to train I highly doubt he last one max two minutes
Floyd would not lose ANY boxing match 4 rds or less.He would have just started sooner.Conar had NO POWER.But Floyd would NOT beat CM in Cage. But a boxer still has puncher's chance in MMA.(MERCER V SILVA)where no MMA guy beats a boxer In the ring as long as he aint real old or much smaller.I mean think about it would you give any 145-155 pd MMA guy a chance with Spence even if they fought 100 times?

No Floyd at 41 just about would not do well to say the least. But he don't have the best style for this.Put in a young gun like charlo or spence and they would least have a quik punchers chance.

Dont be an idiot! He has fought on the ground in fights and sparring so how many times has Floyd fought on the ground??? You statement is as bad as someone saying that Conor has sparred in boxing so he can beat Mayweather in boxing.
