Acquinity better move him up the sanctioning body organization rankings (preferably the IBF because of their strict imposing of mandatories and eliminators); the #2 spot does put him in line for Maidana's recently vacated "regular" title that'd help him get solid opposition, until then, Joan has little leverage.
He simply won't be given anything and will have to settle for these journeymen until he has a bargaining chip (a mandatory position or a title).

Guzman has a lot to gain by beating the top 10 jr. ww fighters. But the top 10 doesn't have anything to gain by beating Joan.
