You're not gonna get a real answer when you're comparing past legends to present day legends. People are ALWAYS gonna choose the past. Nostalgia and mythology always looks more impressive than the truth.

To answer the op: Durant and its not even close. He's quite possibly the best scorer in NBA history. 6'10 with a 7'2 wingspan that can score any way he wants. He can take big guys outside, he can post-up smaller players. There is literally nothing anyone can do to stop him.

If I had to choose who to build around, I'm going Durant.
