    ARUZE K-1 WORLD GP 2004 in NAGOYA
    Date : June 6, 2004
    Place : Nagoya Rainbow Hall, Japan

    K-1 reports that it signed former cruiserweight champion and world ranked boxer Vassiliy Jirov (33-2, 29 KOs) to fight on it's 6/6 "Boxing vs. K-1" show televised by ESPN PPV from Nagoya Aiichi Rainbow Hall. Jirov will reportedly face Musashi. The other 2 boxer-K-1 fights include Ernesto Hoost vs. Frans Botha and Alexey Ignashov vs. Ray Mercer.

      I'm guessing this is the event where kickboxers show that they are more exciting and skillful than boxers. Just a guess.

                  ***UPDATE: DiBella Entertainment has informed ********* that Jirov is not participating in K-1. Coincidentally, sources close to Ray Mercer have also expressed doubt he will fight in the June 6th event although Mercer may compete in future K-1 events.

                    Someone must of told Jirov that he wouldn't be able to walk afterwards
