it's a tank. never once have i had an issue with it. i don't use it as much as some people, but it's seen a good deal of use over these many years.

You got lucky, a lot of people suffered the YLOD. When the system fails and can't be turned back on without getting it repaired, which costs money.

For XBox 360 launch owners, it was the Red Ring of Death, basically the same thing as the PS3.

Hopefully it comes out before Thanksgiving, because I have two words for ya:

Black Friday.

Those who are not that impressed with the PS4 so far, like me, should def take advantage of getting it on BF. Though there will be millions of people thinking alike. Knowing how lazy I am, never wanting to make any long ass lines, i'd probably just get it regardless if it comes out before or after BF.

I'm not a YLOD expert, because I have the 80gb fat version and the 160gb slim, neither of them of ever went through the YLOD. But doesn't swapping the hard drive mean all your sh-t is gone?
