  • Terrance Crawford's Top Rank contract

can his fans explain to me why he re-signed with arum and top rank even after seeing how arum was ripping pac off?

the floyd fans have been very vocal about manny re-signing with arum in the past even going as far as calling manny "stupid" and a "puppet".

but to be fair, when pac first signed with arum and top rank, there was never any proof that arum was ripping floyd and oscar off. the floyd fans used to say arum was holding floyd back and wouldnt make the fight that matters. but there was never proof that arum was ripping TBE off.

now with crawford, even after pac came out and said that he hasnt been paid for his fights, etc. even after seeing all this, why the hell did crawford re-signed with arum and top rank? can his fans explain this to me?

is crawford hiding behind arum and top rank? did he re-signed so he can be safe where he's at on the other side of the streets fighting bums? and when asked why he didnt fight the other guys he can always bounce back on the excuses that they are with a different promoter. is this why he re-signed with the devil?

It's always been part of the Top Rank business model to over pay one or two key guys to make sure Top Rank stays relevant in the sport.

Crawford re-signed with Top Rank because they were willing to pay him the most. Just like Tim Bradley, Top Rank pays him more than he'll ever be able to generate. Crawford isn't a draw. But he is a great fighter and it would have been devastating to Top Rank's thin roster to lose him.

Had he gone to PBC, yes there would have been big fights against Porter, Thurman, Spence, Garcia etc, but he wouldn't have necessarily made any more than he'd make fighting the Benavidez's of the world with Top Rank. It was smart business for Crawford to stay put, even if it's frustrating for boxing fans that it means he won't be fighting any of the top guys.

how did you come to this? did crawford even explore what's out there first? i dont think so... he re-sgined with arum with the quickness, why? then he comes out and said he wants to fight the best only. does top rank have "the best" only?

Arum was the only one willing to pay him so much more than he generates. Crawford isn't a draw. His PPV barely did 50k buys and was one of the biggest flops in the history of HBO PPV.

Crawford is an incredible talent, but whatever his value would be to PBC, he's worth way more to Top Rank just to prevent PBC from having a full monopoly at welterweight. No matter what PBC offered, Bob would have offered more. Why do you think Tim Bradley had a $5 million minimum guarantee per fight when he had no fan base whatsoever? This is how Arum stays alive. Whatever it costs, he needs to make sure to stay relevant.

how do you know this though????? did crawford even try to see what he can get from other promoter's? you're "assuming" with no actual facts to back your statement up.

he did pretty good money wise if you asks me. but then again he also got outcasted by the floyd fans for doing this. they completely disown him. will they do the same to crawford?

Do you think Bradley has thought for even one minute what Floyd Mayweather's fans think about him in his life? These are not relevant issues for anyone in life.

Don't waste your time trying to explain it. This dude is one of the worst pac slurpers on NSB. This is like the 4th or 5th alt account he's had since being banned.

Arum saw PBC get the huge deal from Fox and SHO so he went to Crawford's reps with a ridiculously high new contract offer more than one year before his current one expired. The offer paid Crawford far more than market value because Arum realized PBC could snatch Crawford when his contract was up.

Crawford would've been a complete idiot to turn the offer down.
