Sorry if it's late, I haven't been posting much on here lately. I forgot to make a thread on the day of the mans death to remember him. Carmen Basilio fought the mob and the best in the world and won. He was a champion in the ring and especially as a human being. RIP Champ.

Carmen Basilio is one of my all time favorites.

In a way,I think he gets a little forgotten and underrated.

I will always remember that shot he took from Tony DeMarco without going down. I believe its DeMarco. He took it flush on the jaw and did a little dance,but never went down.

Basilio had one of the greatest chins, people always say LaMotta's chin was about the greatest but LaMotta actually had a great defence when he wanted to use it whereas Basilio's defence was never close to great. Basilio was the quintessential tough guy, think he may have actually been made from granite.
