    He's an action fighter.

    End of.

Stop talking about how good he is, or who he can't beat, or who he's only beat.

Put him in the ring, and you have entertainment guaranteed... at the end of the day, that's what 90% of the people out there watching HBO boxing want to see.

Lots and lots of hype. I remember ring magazine just a few years ago called him and Arreola the future of US boxing. Could have been some other magazine, but i think it was the ring.

that said, berto has been in some terrific fights. collazo was a great fight. ortiz was the fight of the year. guerrero will be a candidate for foty, and probably come in third behind alvarado- rios, and pacquiao - marquez 4
you forget the REAL FOTY......Juanma-Salido 2....which also has the ROTY... round 9

        People really do forget fast....

All this hype about JMM-Pac being FOTY is like when Tyson Holyfield won FOTY just because of their fame.

You say that like Berto's never been dull....the dude's fights would all be hugfests if he could have it....he has no skill inside and whenever hes been allowed to hold, he does it all night.

Every fighter has been in their fair share of sleepers. All in all, he's definitely an entertaining fighter... lately more than ever.

never really thought of berto as entertaining, maybe because i dont enjoy mismatches
he also doesnt seem to have a large following for an "action fighter" or else he would sellout arenas, i guess it was all haymon

he seems to be more when he loses a fight than when he wins.

i agree. He has every making of the Haitian version of Aturo Gatti! His opponents were boring and made for boring fights. But when his opposition picked up and he got involved in real fights...he delivered. Win or lose!
