LAS VEGAS, NEV -- To quote Hall of Fame baseball superstar Ernie Banks, "Let's play two."

That's exactly what undefeated former world champion BRANDON "Bam Bam" RIOS and top-rated contender "Mile High" MIKE ALVARADO will do when they face each other in a rematch of their 2012 Fight of the Year-nominated fight. Rios-Alvarado II will take place, Saturday, March 30 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nev. The 12-round World Boxing Organization (WBO) interim junior welterweight championship rumble will be televised live on HBO Boxing After DarkŪ, beginning at 10:15 p.m. ET/PT.

God I hope not. Not if he's fighting Ishida. As a boxing fan I'd be forced to watch that fight but god that **** sucks.

Man people from outside the 'west' really dont understand the media in America/UK etc. Being humble rarely works unless you have already got a built in Fanbase (i'd say Pac was an exception not the rule). Matthysse and Golovkin keep congratulating everyone and saying how good everyone is. Which is fine and i respect them for it but i also want to see them get the big fights.

For hardcore fans it is a refreshing change of pace, but promoters make next to nothing from hardcore fans, casuals want smack. I want Matthysse to be screaming duck at Garcia (even if not completely true) and Golovkin slating Geales performance or something... both are stone cold killers in the ring, but the biggest fights and paydays dont fall into your lap.

Matthysse has been doing that to an extent. GGG snuck a jab in there to Sturm too, inviting him to try and regain a title. I agree though. They should be relentlessly calling out the names, but I too like their good natured-ness.

The hunter has definitely become the hunted, Martinez couldn't get big fights in the past and now Golo is where Martinez used to be

Matthysse is being more vocal about Garcia now, no worries.

GGG fighting in Monaco? That sounds unique. :conf4: Is HBO televising that as well? Does Monaco even have a sports arena, or will it be in one of their glitzy casinos?
