Nah he wasn't unbeaten, in his book it goes into detail about his loss to Billy Graham.

Robinson, the Graham fight was the only one he lost I think.

Sanchez-Nelson, Sanchez was already an ATG but Nelson had fought no one of note was 13-0, took the fight on 2 weeks notice, had his mouthpiece stolen so he had to use one that wasn't customised which led to the swelling in his mouth in that fight - basically he was expected to be made quick work of. Instead he took Sanchez to hell and fought on even terms for 14 rounds only to be stopped at 15, one of the most courageous performances of all time, when dropped Azumah got straight up to fight even though every odd was against him. Of course Nelson went on to have an incredible career and became an ATG in his own right.

Marvin Johnson and Matthew Franklin (Saad Muhammad) had a classic war before either of them won world titles.

Sanchez's last fight? I'd say that pretty definitively rules it out of this thread.

Someone mentioned Vazquez & Larios, too, & while there's is certainly an interesting tale, I wouldn't call either an all-time great. It's definitely a difficult thread to pursue examples for, obviously.
