It would take the best of the best around that weight class, which is numerous people, but that's still quite a compliment towards Ward that it takes a certain level of fighter to beat him.

@175 is where he loses and possibly get brutally knocked out as well.
Michael Spinks at 175 will knock Ward out cold.
Even the 2nd tier 175lbers of the Spinks era would push Ward. Mattrew Saad Muhammad will give Ward a tougher fight than he ever had..
Go back further and Charles, Moore obviously.
I give the 175 version of Moorer a very good chance as well. Ward got a suspect chin tbh.
@168? It's a much shorter division but : Roy, Benn,Eubank, and Calzaghe could all beat him. Toney etc..
Actually a lot of people can take Ward lol.. He's getting a tad over rated atm.
Even at 160= say no weight ins.. The mw's just come in at 160 pounds or which ever weight they are comfortable in?
Hagler-Hopkins-Robinson got a very good shot. Etc

Ward is not an ATG, he hasn't fought anyone yet with distinction and although he does show he has the will to win he's not outstanding at any fascet of the game. He will give up some size at 175lbs but thats where he needs to be. He may show up with more body strength there and be able to extend himself more. We''ll see how he does in the next 3 years but its time for him to ring the bell and get busy. If he's going to fight once a year like the other primadonnas I won't watch him. Ray.
between 160 to 175 theres ALOT of men that would and could defeat him, this guy is still green compared to the greats that fall into that weight area.Last edited by Ray Corso; 01-13-2013, 12:23 PM.
