First middleweight in 100+ years to win a heavyweight title. Pretty significant if you ask me.

Tough question. Prime Roy is widely regarded as one of the greatest ever. But I'd say Tyson. Dude was the biggest star in the world.
When he lost to buster it was the front page story in every newspaper in every modern nation in the entire world.

What's with the Tyson worship? You find this sort of stuff amongst your average guy on the street who doesn't know **** about boxing but knows Tyson. On a boxing forum, however, I expect better. If we're talking legacy, Roy Jones is the much greater fighter - he wins this hands down. I know you can rip anybody's legacy apart, but ****ing hell the only prime great fighter Tyson beat was a former light heavyweight. We can talk all day about how Tyson wasn't motivated for Douglas etc, but the fact is he lost to him, and if he wasn't motivated or needed Kevin Rooney, that takes away from his greatness as a fighter. Tyson was a one trick pony - had great skills and athleticism but a **** mentality and if plan A didn't work then he didn't win.
