I remember this but I can't remember how exactly that specific whitewalker got through the gate! Can anyone remember?

Best off googling it, theres theories about it all over, its a hell of a thing to try and explain. Its been hinted at in the show though. When he watched the Children of the Forest create the Night King, Bran felt the stab in his chest at the same time.
