Polls in NSB mean nothing. The same forum that had Pacquiao winning a poll of who is the greatest fighter in a list that had Roy Jones, Bernard Hopkins, Holyfield, Marquez, Chavez Sr, Mayweather.

Polls in NSB mean sh-t. Roy Jones is the greatest modern legend and it's not even close.

So what poll means something to you?

The poll of your homeys and your personal opinion?

Because every single legitimate rankings have
        Leonard,Duran,Hearns, and Hagler above Jones..

So if polls on sites like this mean nothing.. and I agree with that.

What about the rankings made from various major boxing outlets and boxing writers/historians?

So let's go back to the end of 2007/ beginning of 2008.

          Martinez:
Chavez Jr - Got his ass handed to him
Macklin - Dropped and barely escaped with a win
          Barker - part-time janitor
          Sergiy Dzinziruk - Goatfarmer
Pavlik - Drunk and could be heard asking for more tequila between rounds
          Williams - Good win
          Williams - Lost clearly
          Jordan - Cab driver
          Bunema - Bum
          Clintron - Cintron was robbed

          vs

          Floyd

          Hatton
          Marquez
          Mosley
          Cotto
          Ortiz

Floyd fought a lot less over the last 5 years.. but overall still pretty dangerous opposition.. despite all of them either being ******ed or past prime.

The poll wasn't meant as evidence that Chavez is a threat as seen right now. It was evidence that he was seen as a threat before fight. You claimed, "Chavez Jr, Macklin, Barker, weren't seen as much of a threat or dangerous opponents by anyone." That statement is obviously wrong as the poll and the betting odds show. Sure, you can claim he's no longer seen as a threat, but that's post hoc.

I should have probably quoted just that one line to make it clear what I was responding to.

Chavez Jr was a young iron chin come forward warrior who has never lost or even been hurt.. Martinez is a 37 year old man.

Jr was a very dangerous fight.
