      Mayweather will not get to 50 wins in a row.

      Its not impossible, but I don't think he will!!!

          If Mayweather beats Cotto, but doesn't face Pacquiao, how good will he be considered in his era and all-time?

            Depends what you class as his era.

            All time I think Top 50 is very reasonable.

              Of course there is possibility if he wins against Cotto,
              then gives return bouts to:

              1. Ricky Hatton,
              2. Oscar Dela Hoya
              3. Victor Ortiz
              4. Shane Mosley

              and then fights
              5. Eric Morales;
              6. Casamayor;
              7. Juan Manuel Marquez when he reach 40!

              But NEVER on Pacman and Martinez!
              that's too DANGEROUS!

                  If he wants to, he will because he is so far ahead of the competition that there is nobody out there who poses a significant challenge to him. Even Sergio Martinez, who despite being two weight divisions bigger, is simply too technically flawed to give Mayweather much trouble. I think I heard him say that he doesn't want to fight past 37. Which leaves 4 more fights including his next one. I expect him to win them all and retire undefeated. However, if he wanted to, I could easily imagine him dominating the game beyond then, maybe even into his 40's.

                      No he didn't. He got a draw after his 47th win.
