In history of heavyweight were some else fighter`s, who probably deserve title.
For example, Donovan Ruddock.
He have very good fights with serious fighters:
vs ex-champion Mike Weaver, win by UD, 1986;
vs ex-champion James (Bonecrusher) Smith, win by KO in 7, 1989;
vs ex-champion Michael Dokes, win by KO in 4, 1990;
vs ex-champion on that time Mike Tyson, loss by very doubtful TKO in 7 and UD, 1991;
vs ex-champion Greg Page, win by TKO in 8, 1992;
vs Phil Jackson, win by KO in 4, 1992.
Only after defeat from Lewis his career has gone down.

Jerry Quarry, Earnie Shavers and Ken Norton came along at a bad time for them. Norton was given the title by one of the alphabet groups, but I always figured you had to win it in the ring. If not, I could pay someone off and be the champ! Ray Mercer probably should be on this list as well.
