LMFAO @ you saying Cotto's career is comparable to Marquez's GTFO ******
dont let the mexico glasses fool you bro.

Marquez is great right now cuz he kayod pac, but his resume throughout his career hasn't been all that.

I'll take a prime Barrera against Marquez 100 out of 100 times.

Elite is Mayweather, Pacquaio, Marquez, Martinez.....you're going to tell me Cotto is on their level?

Just because I say Cotto isn't elite, doesn't mean he hasn't been a great champ.

I have all the respect in the world for Cotto but he's not lb 4 lb, never has been. He's that one level below.
when Cotto fought margarito in 2008 he was top 5 in all credible P4P list (including Ring Magazine)... and has remained in the top ten of many list up until his two most recent defeats.

to say Cotto never was elite is idiodic...
from 2007-2009, based on level of opposition and carrying a perfect record into his 33 professional fight (being matched toughly his entire career)
its hard to argue that he wasnt the best welterweight in th world.

boxing fans have short term memory...

to say Martinez is elite and not Cotto is stupidity...
Martinez has yet to accomplish 1/4 of what Cotto has in his career.

to say Marquez is elite and not Cotto is stupidity
Marquez is 10-4-1 (4kos) in major title fights
      Cotto is 17-4 (14 KOs)
      Pacquiao is 16-2-2 (11 KOs)
      Mayweather is 19-0 (9 KOs)

they all seem pretty elite to me.

I don't think Cotto is in the same class as Marquez.

I'm not saying I agree or disagree. I just said i wasn't gonna read too much into it. Are you calling Trout elite? You don't have to be elite to beat Trout.
