Newly-crowned WBC welterweight titleholder Floyd Mayweather Jr. insisted that he would enjoy some time off following last month's fourth-round knockout victory that dethroned Victor Ortiz and earned him his seventh belt over five different weight divisions.
Over the weekend, the 34-year-old Mayweather (42-0, 26 KOs) apparently did just that.
Mayweather was spotted in Miami at Saturday night's South Florida Basketball Classic that featured LeBron James and Dwyane Wayde of the Miami Heat, and Carmelo Anthony of the Denver Nuggets.
By Sunday evening, Mayweather was at The Park at Fourteenth of Northwest in Washington, D.C., his presence there being confirmed by a source close to the fighter.
The Park is described on its website as "a swanky four-level nightclub that offers dancing, live hip-hop and soul music and cocktails in an upscale, dress-to-impress setting."
