  • Bizarre Scenes from Mike Tyson in China (Sep 16)

Mike Tyson showed up in Beijing two days ago to endorse some kind of cold and flu medicine. Strange scenes played out and the details of the event itself sound even weirder.

    Truly bizarre!

I don't see anything bizarre in this. It matters nothing that Tyson has no connection with the cough medicine, the whole idea of bringing celebrity names to advertise a product is to have potential customers turn on the TV so that they get the message. And if Tyson is popular in China well.... that's the reason he was on the commercial.

How many of those tarts who sit so entrancingly on the hoods of autos have any connection with the item-except possibly by driving one. Well...Tyson can take a spoonful of the cough cure just to cement his credentials.....
    Simple...... for me at least.

You'd be shocked at all the celebs that work overseas, like in Japan, to sell products. Easier to "sell out" when people at home have no idea.

There was nothing bizarre about that. Misleading title. You never heard of "fighting a cold"... Obviously Tyson was a fighter, he's still a huge celebrity in China and worldwide.. It makes perfect sense for him to promote a product which involves "combat" of some sort - in this case it's the medication combating the illness.
