This myth you need a college degree to get a good job is just that, a myth.
trade school is surely the best way to go about it these days. having a college degree isn't a right either. it's by no coincidence that socialists such as bernie and occasional-cortex promise free college when these colleges have become nothing more than marxist indoctrination camps.

What's the issue? You take out a loan, you pay it back.

Both my wife and I had small student loans back in the day. She used hers for tuition; I used mine to buy food.

We both paid it all back in full.

Also let's take into the fact most jobs require a min of 4 years degree. The only way for some people to get decent jobs is to go into debt with loans. It's a catch 22 that never made any sense take out 90k of debt to make 30k now the government wants to garnish your wages? It will leave people will not much to live on. Seems like they are going to do more harm than good.
You don't need a college degree to be a plumber, welder, auto-mechanic, machinist, electrician, etc. And the good part? Those jobs can't be outsourced.

You also don't need a college degree to work as a prison guard, cop, fireman, etc. Lots of opportunities out there. Just have to look.

            Lmao.. who cares

This is what they due for child support and other forms payment/garnishments

This only affects the idiots that took “free” money to go to college, got a worthless degree like “women studies”.

Mainly only the idiots that had no business going to higher education except for “diversity” reasons

Remember you have to pay health care here or you get a fine.
There's no fine for health insurance anymore, trump tossed it out.

If you're only making 17hr with a degree you need your head checked. I know a lot of people making 25 30 with no degree.

Again, this is already known and if you dont like the rules, dont get student loans.

First off, that's not a fact.

Only around 20% of Americans have college degrees, and our LPR is well over 20%.

Also, in my small circle I know 2 multi-millionaires.

Neither graduated college, and one of them may not even have a hs diploma.

I myself dropped out of college.

I have a job that pays more than the median income for where I live, I own a house in a nice neighborhood, I own 3 cars, i have a nice nest egg and retirement accounts, and on and on.

Plenty of people make damn good livings with just a certificate from a trade school (ASE mechanics, HVAC workers, electricians, etc).

If you want to work in corporate you need a degree period.

Not everyone can be a blue collar or entrepreneur ( which makes a lot of money).

It's easier to get student loans than a bank business loan and that's a fact.

They should still get paid this issue is a hard issue to tackle. I feel everybody needs go chip in to take down this debt.

Jobs that require a degree should pay part of the loan of the employee that they hired. If they require it then they should credit it on their company finances.
