He is going to spend the last 2 years of his career fighting Kamegai and Sadam ****ing Ali. That's not the resume of someone who is interested in a real goddamn fight that's the resume of someone who is looking to cash out with the easiest opposition he can.

He never wanted GGG. Stop pretending otherwise. GGG got the fight with the PPV guy who was interested in the fight. Celebrate that and the fact that it was a pretty good fight rather than rehash this nonsense. Cotto wanted nothing to do with GGG. He would have gotten crushed. He didn't have the reach or the foot speed to keep GGG away or the power to earn his respect.

listen here you little fukwit..... you have absolutely no idea what would have happened if your pacifist girlfriend had been a man of his word and agreed to negotiate on weight..... and yet, you chose to accuse a proven warrior of ducking a hypejob who failed to call his bluff

you are an excuse-making muppet LMAO

I live in Japan and am really looking forward to this fight. It is probably my only chance to see Golovkin fight with my own eyes. 2018. Tokyo Dome. Will pay any money to be there.

'Dominated' is probably a bit of a stretch. He knocked him down a bunch of times, sure, but got outboxed for the vast majority of the fight. The knockdowns ensured he deserved the win, but it was by no means a 'domination'. It was a similar story in the Lemieux fight, too - certainly N'Dam looked the superior fighter in the second half.

The WBC belt is the one Golovkin treasures above all the others and the WBC have just appointed him as their ambassador and boxing representative in Mexico.

There is no problem whatsoever and no chance whatsoever of GGG dropping the WBC belt to avoid his mando.

That's a dumb question. What would be the point of making somebody an offer unless you offered them more than their mandated split?

Fighters wanna fight, fighters wanna get paid their value. If you are sending bs offers they should be turned down. GGG is one of those guys the name guys SHOULD'NT have wanted to fight cuz he was too good for how much you got paid to fight him. Now things are looking better so more guys are willing to take him on so fair play to Froch, Strum, JCC Jr and whoever else nibbled the worm, but never took the bite when the worm wasn't big enough to take the risk.
*gives standing ovation in front of computer*

Thank-you, eff pandas (nice screen name, by the way!!). Of COURSE there is the honest to the Lord duck from time to time. But the vast majority of the time it just is a solid business decision based on how short so many fighters careers are. They have to make what they can while they can, and any of these internet bashers would do the same thing if they were an athlete.

We all want to see the best against the best. But the cash and end game has to make sense.

Arum may have hit the Jackpot again with Murata. He will likely leave him in Japan and take advantage of that great Market and Thriving Economy in Japan. This is no Zou Shiming Situation though, Murata is actually a REALLY GOOD FIGHTER!
