I'm not going to rail on Mares, because he fought a good fight, and like any fighter if he isn't being penalized for doing something he isn't going to stop. But Agbeko was completely, irrefutably, and unfairly screwed over. There's no telling how much an effect getting hit with 2 or 3 low blows at least each round did to him.

This was a pretty good fight that won't be allowed to be remembered as so because of a corrupt referee.

Agreed. Nice fight that got ruined by Mares' repeated low blows and the ref who allowed them. Even with the fouls and horrible reffing, it was a razor close fight. There absolutley needs to be a rematch.

Totally agree, Mares is gonna throw them if he's getting away with it (intentional or not) and i felt he won the fight BUT the Ref WAS A JOKE and we dont know how effected Kong was by those blows, if he hadnt taken them all night mabey he is a Beast down the stretch and lays Abner out with some of those Right Hands?
