      It's the other way around.

UFC preset dates and plan the matchups for that date. Boxing promoters (mostly Arum) has been setting up matches on the same days and play dumb. This forces ZUFFA to reschedule most of their events.

It just makes the Boxing pomoters look like dicks. Nothing more.

that could be correct but overall boxing is still richer than MMA speaking pac/floyd makes more than A silva or GSP

is that so? How long has UFC fight night 25 been scheduled? How about the Adamek fight? Zuffa buys SF, and asap changes the date of the next round of the tourney to overlap Vitali's fight. Zuffa doesn't schedule around the bigger, more important to the world, boxing.......that's why they're starting Wednesday night fights on Fox every week.

They do **** with each other. But it's hardly simply Arum chasing that UFC fame....it's ****ing with each other.

They both happen on Saturday nights, its been happening for like ever....you just noticed? If Dana really wanted to, he could beat Manny Pac. He could have put a full card on Fox, with the heavyweight title on the line and boxing would have suffered since the economy sucks, and more people would watch it free on FOX. But he didn't.

One stacked card won't kill boxing....that's a bit silly really. I agree the UFC can easily get higher ratings, but I doubt names like Mayweather, or Klitschko will be effected too much. I personally enjoy having so much to watch. The best weekends are ones with a high profile high stakes boxing match, coupled with a stacked cards from a few MMA promotions, and a close K-1 tournament.

Truth is, boxing still has all the best dates and MMA is still competing (period).

It's not about about beating boxing, it's more about airing them in close proximity to one another so the general public start to consider which offers the bigger bang for their buck; That's why they stacked an exciting card against Haye-Wlad; Next day the internet is full of articles about how the UFC event rocked and the boxing event sucked; If they had been aired even one day apart no one would have even mentioned the two events in the same sentence ever again
