New England dabbles in the FA pool quite a bit. It's their process with cutting/trading and letting players walk that I don't understand sometimes. For instance Randy Moss and Richard Seymour. Two guys that were great contributors to the team and great players but for some reason didn't want them anymore.

I agree with another poster that Gronkowski is our only real elite weapon offense. Additionally I think the no huddle offense we used nearly all season on almost all possessions covered up a lot of holes and lack of talent offensively. We don't have a lot of world beaters besides Brady and Gronk but the ability to go fast and prevent substitutions by opposing teams made everyone look like a superstar. Which is why I'm puzzled as to why they barely used to no huddle at all last night. Everything the Patriots did and didn't do to get them to that point they completely abandoned for whatever reason and I refuse to believe that it's because of the Ravens defense. Our offense was the best in the league by a 100 points and to think we only scored 13....I can't figure out why even with the drops and bad clock management before halftime.

Defensively we're a lot like the Packers, which I hate. We're solid against the run, bad in coverage and we take the ball away a lot. We give up a lot of yards and our linebackers are really only good at defending the run, not the pass. Sp!kes is monster near the line of scrimmage but he can't cover for dick.

I'd like to see us get a real deep threat receiver that can stretch the field and some better defensive backs.
It infuriates me to see the Pats abandon the no huddle in the playoffs. They did it last year too. They didn't try to run the ball nearly enough either. They were flat out intimidated, outplayed, and outcoached. That really sucked to watch in the second half.

No Arrogance, but can you really ever say they aren't? Patriots are always going to have a great offense and a chance as long as Brady is under center. And it's pretty much a guarantee they'll be in the playoffs.

But if we want to win it, we need to splurge more than we're used to, IMO.

i don't know about all that.

baltimore just had better players, aside from brady, on both sides of the ball, man.

I was at Buffalo Wild Wings with some friends. We were sitting right next to a group of like 6 Falcons fans, and 1 49er fan. At one point, one of the Falcons fans wife looked over at me and said (in the 1st quarter) "Guess we're gonna be dancing out of here tonight."

She wouldn't even look at me when the game was over. Even her husband was looked like "that's what you get"

            • This is going to be the most physical Super Bowl of all time. Lots of helmet to helmet. Lots of hard hits. Both teams will give zero fuqs on gameday. Can't wait!!!!

I can ABSOLUTELY say that they aren't.

                  I mean, they're favored the last 5 years. I'm seeing a pattern...

Teams with solid d, that get pressure on Brady, typically do well against them. Need to have a defense. Need to have consistency at the run game (better this year, obviously).

Having Brady under center is great and all, but not every game is a shootout. Some are smack you in the mouth, hard hitting football games. What makes the Patriots almost a lock to get into the playoffs, is that the rest of the division is absolute garbage.

The reason Vegas favors the Patriots to win it all has a lot more to do with the fact that the public LOVES them. And so, the public LOVES to bet on them. Similar to the way the Lakers are still in the top 8 or so to win the NBA title. And the way the Yankees are always the favorite to win the World Series. More to do with public perception, and less to do with being the best.
