Toney really was weight-drained for that fight, Roy knew that Toney was weight drained as he talked about it in the post fight interview

Yes he was but Toney only has himself to blame, he knew he was going to fight Jones if he had won the Prince Charles Williams fight, which was about 3 months before the Jones fight, really stupid of him to balloon up in weight when he knew he had a fight scheduled so soon afterwards.

No it does not take away the win.
Yes Toney was weight drained, but the fight wasnt close at all.
Toney was also 26 at the time and can only blame his lack of discipline for having to go to such lengths to make weight.

James Toney was not "weight drained" when he was taken to school and thoroughly humiliated by the greatest fighter he ever fought.Roy Jones simply exposed a prime James Toney's limitations, much like Montell Griffin did when he also took Toney to school.

Can't get schooled back-to-back and claim being drained was the reason you simply didn't have enough talent cope with two master boxers.

                    .
Toney wasnt drained, he trained the same way for all of his fights back then. He would stagger into camp around 200 lbs and try to get down during the next 6 weeks (get down to the low 180's, then drain himself to get to the 186 lb limit). For his next fight against Griffin he was seen working out in a sauna on the day of the weigh in, he would rehydrate up to 187 lbs by fight night as well

He had a flaw which was exposed during the McCallum I fight and that is he tends to only throw the right hand as a counter punch, rather than a lead punch. It was the reason that McCallum was able to outwork him during certain rounds because Toney was waiting for opportunites to counter punch. It was the reason that McCallum didn't throw many right hands during their second fight and kept circling to Toney's left.

Toney and Griffin would do the same thing, with a lot of emphasis on the leaping left hooks as well
