Isn't punching power supposed to be more reliably measured with impulse as opposed to just testing force?

Heavyweight division is an OPEN weight class. Thats the way it's always been!
You have weight limitations in all weight classes EXCEPT heavyweight. Get Over It!
If you fight in the heavyweight division you can weigh ANYTHING
you want to!
Heavyweight division======No Weight Limits!!! Try to learn this!

I certainly can't recall any other cruiserweights who had that kind of effect on their opponents, though that division has had and continues to have some fearsome punchers in its ranks.
Terrific power for sure.

You also have to take into account quality of opposition sometimes. Video footage doesnt lie if someone hits hard ,it should be obvious when you see someones reaction to a direct strike .
Shavers would have won more important fights had his punching power been as great as many claimed . Lets not forget he didnt K.O Holmes who he hit ALOT over many rounds and he fought a weaker Ali in showing signs of getting hit too much ,two good chins that suggest guys like Tyson hit harder .Last edited by juggernaut666; 08-19-2017, 09:28 AM.
