XBox 360 worth the price?

Just had the offer from my missus to go out and pick a games console of my choice, the obvious one at the minute will be the XBox 360 but I dont know too much about it it.
The selling points for me are that I bought a plasma tv a while back thats HD ready and so is the 360 so....also the new Fifa Road to the World Cup looks superb on it.

The other option would be to wait for the Playstation 3, what do you think?

i have no idea which is the better machine

im personally waiting for the revolution which is rumored to be retailing
only between 100 and 200 pound on launch day

xbox 360 in us like like $300 dollars. i heard its alot of problems with them so im waiting until they make another verson before i buy one.

they revolutionized the way you make a game console. turning your world upside down or the opposite hence 360. i think.
