Why do all trainers no try to teach the slick style?

I think it's because the high guard is always useful to know even if you don't always use it...That and the "slick" style obviously heavily relies on being athletic as mentioned earlier in this thread.
At my gym the trainers teach the high guard but also support people that use the shoulder roll with moves like the pull counter. Even Floyd used the high guard at times. It's about teaching fundamentals, the shoulder roll can still be used even if you're primarily taught the "stiff euro style". Floyd had a great Winky Wright style of guard when he actually used it.

by slick im auto think Parnell or in this new era mayweather and reason you cant teach that cause the individual needs to have fast hand eye coordination and fast reflexes along with a fast processing of the info he takes in (RING IQ). Only if they have all this will you able to maybe teach him that style and be somewhat successful in it.
Its not like you can take anybody and teach him that, different people have different type of muscle fibers etc.
