Hopefully Vargas fights a meaningful fight after this.

Wouldn't mind seeing Cruz vs Gesta some time in the near future. 2 young, talented fighters with a few flaws in a competitive fight. As for Vargas, ESPN on a thursday seems like a lateral move for him. This is a guy who beat Josesito Lopez a few fights ago, moved his business to Top Rank and this is his TR debut? For as many headlines he makes on BS he should be making some headway at welter by now.

I think there are pros and cons, but in my opinion, there are more cons then pros.

PRO: Your headlining a card: good for your career

CON: Its on a Thursday night, considering you've been on major PPV cards, this I think is a step down

PRO: Your fighting a talented young guy with a respectable record.

CON: You've fought both quality and Named opponents on Mayweather undercards; Josesito Lopez is a big name now, and Forbes was a former champ

CON: You're making way less money now

I'd say Jessie is way above average. An average fighter wouldnt get past Josesito Lopez like Vargas did.
