George Lucas has always been very open about how much influence korusawa tales had on Star Wars..

Lucas created an episodic western set in space using a samurai plot..

Quentin Tarantino does the same thing.

Just saw the movie, didn't like it, so much cringe and the plot was stupid as hell. Too many ridiculous scenes(don't want to spoil so I will just leave it at that). I have no idea how this movie got such great reviews, I don't care enough about star wars to hate it but I really didn't enjoy it.
