Some of these fights have been scored pretty sad. I would have someone there looking over them like a supervisor going like really you gave that guy that round no no no change that. Don't rob this guy he's fighting his a** out there. Do your job or you will be getting written up after like three write ups you will get fired. Something has to change or fighters will still get rob.I had Matthysse beating Zab and Alexander the guy would be undefeated right now.

they can have it showing the combat from an opposing angle
one that's different from whatever's straight in front of them
don't know how fast they can move around ringside
it'd be cool if they could change spots after a few rds
but one minute between rds just isn't enough for that movement
So you'd trust say german television showing selected replays when Sven Ottke fought? Of course you wouldn't. There will always be a bias.

The question I ask with all sincerity is; Should we move the judges from Ringside and a) put them in a booth with monitors [somewhat like the NFL replay specialists] b) move them further away from Ringside above the ring, or c) leave them right where they are?

Its obvious that there are disadvantages to being Ringside, and we the fans dont have the obstacles to overcome in scoring like the judges do; as we have the advantage of camera shifts and various angles being shot so that we get an almost complete picture of whats going on in the ring.

Would any of this help keep the integrity of Boxing intact? Would it enhance the system currently in use to score fights? Or would it detract from our sport and the scoring in our sport altogether? Vote in the poll, and post your thoughts. Lookin forward to see how all ya'll feel about it, and your thoughts on the subject.
Call me crazy but I don't chiefy..The thing about this sport is the human element of it all..The ref and how he calls a fight can determine what kinda fight we see unfold..The judges and how they score a fight determines the winner of a fight..It's all about the human element in these sports, even in Football..Yes they have instant replay, but the call is made on the field first..I kinda don't like replay in any sport tbh,let the game happen how it happens is how I see it..That's where the drama is,you can usually see when an official is off or just flat out bad..The same goes for a ref,or even judges..

But to take the judges away from the ring is bogus imo..TV gives a bad view of things,if anyone has ever been to watch a fight live there is nothing like it and no better way to judge a fight..The judges sitting ring side have a good enough view and can hear and see punches landing better then the viewer at home tbh..Esp at that moment when emotions are running high..IMO the system is just fine the way it is..I vote to keep it the way it is..

Side note, when I went to the Froch Johnson fight I felt the fight was closer then it seemed on TV..Your always going to get a different view of a fight when watching it on TV imo..Commentators crowd noise, are all very influential on the way you see a fight at times..But when your there live you get a very different perspective and you can also tune out the crowd and there are no commentators either..

Bad fights to bring up while talking about a fighter being robbed..Sorry but I've never felt Matthysse was robbed in any of his loses..I felt he did not do enough to win in a close fight for what ever reason...I had him beating Alexander and losing to Judah..But both were fights that could have went either way,in noway were those fights robberies...

You can't have a guy do that during a fight..That's unfair to the fighters and tbh the judges..Because what happens is now you have another guy who can just say I want fight A to win over fighter B so he makes the judge change his card for the rd..See how that does not work, but what needs to happen is if a decision is felt to be bad..Have the judges come and explain their score to a whoever is in charge of that kinda thing..If I'm not mistaken was'int the judges from the Pwill Lara fight suspended??Because there was noway you could have given that fight to Pwill..I think that's the best way to handle it...

Those are the guys who know how to score a fight..DEo you believe a judge who is in his early 40's scores effective defense??Most likely not,in the world of MMA most are looking for blood not the sweet science..I don't mind an older judge tbh..They've seen it all and know what to look for in a fight...

                YES!

When random people can just come and sit next to the judges (like at the Peterson vs Khan fight) that is a problem, also the fans cheers and even Bias Broadcasters Ring Side as well could effect the judges Decision...they need to be off in a Sound Proof Booth with Headphones and Monitors and access to Replays

also think that the Judges should be anonymous until Fight Night...Promoters should not even be fukin involved with the Process of Picking Judges, this to me is very suspect and it is PROOF of the corruption in boxing

why are you announcing who are the Judges and Ref months before the fight? that is plenty of time for Promoters and Managers to try and BRIBE them

From viewing the Pacquiao fight on TV it looked like punches that actually wasn't landing did. All 3 judges picked up on that at ringside.

Probably not...I'd damn near expect promoters to hack into their monitor feeds and give them the scores they are expected to have...

I like younger judges...what is the point of having 80 yr old judges if they aren't helping teach the newer generation of judges? 35 and up...Honestly I wouldn't mind them going through tests themselves...eye exams...hand/eye coordination tests...and retiring when they can't pass them. If my health and career is in the hands of a judge, I want to know that they can physically judge what is happening in front of them.

I don't think he was talking about replays, just different camera angles that show the fight live from a different angle to where the judge is sitting.

I'd prefer judges to sit in a room with monitors (no replays or commentary and judge it like that).

Also there should be a mandatory retirement age, and universal training program as well as and it seems obvious, eye tests. If I sat ringside without my contact lenses then I'd come out with Rios beating Abril too (though I probably couldn't tell who was who and I'm 21 so imagine some of the older judges). Though I would hope perfect vision is already a requirement.
