The program could include development of amateur players at their early years and adaption of FIBA rules in the pro-league. By doing this, among other things, we master the international environment at home, so our focus will just be skills development and selection of the best players. And yes, it will take time, because we will be starting from scratch, really, and we have not started yet, really.
maganda bro outline ng program mo, kung ganyan lang sana mag-isip ang mga namumuno ng Basketball satin, malayo na narating natin ...

I would only add that our players NEED to learn how to play against the big guys, dapat masanay na sila makipaglaro sa malalaki habang bata pa...

take china B team, 19yo karaniwan players nila, they werent in the FIBA Asia to win, they are there for the experience and para mag gel din team. cause they are investing in their future basketball olympians in china team B eh.
agree ako dyan kasi sa ngayon guys like asi, menk, seigle magagaling parin naman sa ngayon pero ala na siguro yang mga yan by 2012, talagang mga bata dapat ang nucleus ng team at merong beteranong back-up...

yung plataporma ni preng counter maganda yun "basketball pool" mix ng amateurs at pros (hindi ako gano kasigurado sa pros kasi may mga team yan) pero yung amateurs puwede nating pagsamasamahin to ng matagal tulad kung bubuo tayo ng under 19 ngayon within 4 years that under 19 can be our MES Team at maganda pa nito bata pa sila they can even have another shot of the title or maybe even defend it, every 2 years naman yata may asiad at ABC(FIBA)???

Kung lilimiin, dahil tinalo na natin ang Lebanon dati, tayo dapat ang nasa finals kung wala tayo sa Group of Death. Indeed, our knockout prelim match vs Jordan is turning out to be the "pre-empted" championship game. malas lang siguro talaga!
okey lang saking manalo Lebanon, kasi puwede rin nating sabihin tinatalo natin yang Asian Champion ... lol

After today's results, my prediction remains the same as above. Iran will beat Lebanon tomorrow to take top spot, and Korea will beat Kazaks to take top spot in their group. So if semis will be crossover, Iran plays Jordan & Lebanon plays Korea.
